It is crucial that students stay connected to Christian community while in college. You can begin to make the needed college connections now. The following links are to national campus ministry organizations that could be on your college campus. Each site has a “ministry locator” to help you locate a ministry and campus minister.

 

Athletes in Action
AIA was founded in 1966 by David Hannah, who desired to capitalize on society’s great love of sports and utilize the platform given to athletes to reach the world for Jesus Christ. Included in the ministry efforts of AIA are ministry to college and professional athletes and coaches. Mission Statement: AIA exists to boldly proclaim the love and truth of Jesus Christ to those uniquely impacted by sport worldwide by winning, building, and sending athletic influencers. (AIA is a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.)

Campus Crusade for Christ
The campus ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ is a network of vibrant, growing movements on 1,029 campuses in the United States and beyond. Proven and diverse outreach strategies expose millions of students to the gospel each year.

Chi Alpha
Chi Alpha Campus Ministries is a Christian campus ministry on universities throughout the United States and around the world. We are a movement of college-age men and women earnestly following Jesus. We are not a fraternity or sorority. We invite everyone to be a part, regardless of background. Mission statement: “We will reconcile students to Christ, transforming the university, the marketplace and the world. We will accomplish this by creating a Spirit-empowered community reflecting our philosophy of ministry and core values: worship, prayer, fellowship, discipleship, and mission.”

Coalition for Christian Outreach
The Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) is an interdenominational campus ministry organization. Our mission is “transforming college students to transform the world,” and we focus our ministry in the mid-Atlantic region (Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, New York, and the greater Washington, DC area). CCO staff equip students to apply their Christian faith to all aspects of their lives, from academics to athletics, from fraternity and sorority life to writing for the campus newspaper. They challenge students to view the world as God views it, to figure out right and good ways of doing things, to grow into people of integrity and character.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes
Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
The Purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture and God’s purposes in the world.

The Navigators
The ministry of The Navigators began in the 1930’s through the call of God to a young Californian, Dawson Trotman. Today, tens of thousands of people worldwide are coming to know and grow in Jesus Christ through the various ministries of The Navigators. Internationally, more than 3,800 Navigator staff of 62 nationalities serve in more than 100 countries.

Reformed University Fellowship
RUF is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America and seeks to bring to the campus a heart for God, a love for the campus and convictions that are well formed, deeply held and which allow us to bring a fully-orbed ministry to students. RUF has developed a philosophy of ministry which is biblically informed and pastorally sensitive. It is consistent with the God-given role of the Church on campus to reach and equip students to love and serve Jesus Christ and his Church.

United Methodist Campus Ministry
The official presence of The United Methodist Church on the college and university campuses of the world. We are called to share with our campuses the transformational nature of Christ in a way that raises up a new generation of thoughtful, articulate Christians who care about making the world a better place. While this calling looks and feels different across our campuses, it is central to our identity and it compels us to provide intentional collegiate ministries that call out to this emerging generation.
